We’ve all seen em, we’ve all heard em and we all love em. These Subaru WRX STI’s are a one stop, gofast and look good doing it kinda machine.

With it’s 2.5L Turbo, it sends you up the street, in a hurry. The fact that this thing weighs nothing, has loads of handling, and boost that can make any NA guy or gal jealous…are only some of the reasons why I love these cars…or rockets, or whatever you call em.

.

Robert picked up this STI earlier this year, and has been contemplating the different mods. After installing a blow-off valve, the car not only sounded awesome, but now needed a bit of a drop to go with it.

.

For this we chose Tein lowering springs. The install was simple enough, but I did have to remove the entire back seat to get to some of the bolts. But besides the 85 degree temps in the shop, this bad boy STI now has a stance that will tame any sport car drivers hunger.

.

Now..we specialize in Mustangs, and other Fast Fords here, but we do service pretty much anything. There is quite the difference to my rugged, bigger blocked power of the WR04 vs this tiny turbo rocket. Acceleration feels completely different, and you can’t help wanting to turn every corner at 90mph’s. The Mustangs have that brute force style…and these lil things…all of a sudden you’re ripping up the track…it’s a cool feeling.

.

There are going to be more suspension mods to this car, not that it already doesn’t perform, but hey, we’re in the busniess of going FASTER. So I can’t wait to follow the build on this thing. So stay tuned, next week it’s coming back for an Amsoil treatment!

Back at work in the shop, and lowering springs is what’s going on…

Before I left for vacation, Scott brought in his Vtech FG2 Civic to get rid of it’s 4×4 style ride height.

Now, I will tell you, I did the inspection on this car before he bought it and it is one clean Civic. I was never really a fan of the Honda’s but this on I do like…nice body styling, interior, good little performing car.

While the car was in, we also treated it to a good engine oil and transmission package. Amsoil 5w30, and Amsoil Synchromesh. The car does run much better now and the notchiness during shifting has disappeared.

I’m sure there are going to be more mods to this quick lil go-cart, and I can’t wait to see how it’ll perform in the end. It’s already a great lil package that can only get better!

Thanks Scott, for choosing WoodsRacing.ca!
