Why yes…we are doing nothing today..
For anyone who works in racing..we know that it is a full time job…I mean..we build em up during the week, and race em out on the weekends. It’s busy, and doesn’t stop.
.
About a week before we came down here, I called my sis and asked her…”Can we have a day that we do absolutely nothing?” And so we decided, today, Sunday..nada, nothing, zilch.
.
After a great night on the Indianapolis town, an awesome steak at St. Elmo’s, and great times at the Beer Garden, we got a good nights sleep and are settled in on the couch to watch some movies…and watch another Indiana storm roll in.
.
While I’m here, gonna talk a bit about the car scene here in Indy. Now, depending where you are in town …there is more Crown Vic ex cop cars out than any other capita on earth I’m sure. But downtown…downtown like most cities, is where we see the money.
.
In front of St.Elmo’s steakhouse, in it’s museum like line up, a Bentley, couple CL’s, a Maserati, a sweet 335I and yup, an 1998 Cherokee…but hey, it was stacked to the hills. That’s the kinda place Indiana is I guess. On one street, you have this mix of cars, old new, classy and sporty all intertwined on it’s downtown streets. This is something we don’t have at home. Car shows and such are usually divided in MTL. I mean..Subie’s park here, the Domestic’s over there so on and so on…but not here..The Challenger that was parked next the 48 Pontiac, which was parked next to a complete custom Harley sums up Indianapolis I think. A great mix of all that is America. As much as the USA is the same as Canada, it’s also that much different…we generally have the same cars, restaurants, retail shops and landscapes…but I find ppl blend here more. It’s great…I love it.
.
So..that’s a bit about the scene here..I’ll get into a little more detail later on…but as for now..
Back to doing….nothing….sweeeeeet…
